Makes:

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 sheets frozen butter puff pastry
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- fennel seeds and pepper, for sprinkling
- FILLING
- 500g beef and pork mince
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1/2 cup grated carrot
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons toasted fennel seeds
- 2 teaspoons salt
Method
Remove pastry from freezer and thaw in the fridge for 10 minutes. It’s best for the pastry to still be partially frozen when working with it, as it makes it easier to cut. Combine ketchup and Worcestershire sauce to make Spicy Sauce. Combine all the Filling ingredients together. Cut each pastry sheet in half to make 4 rectangles and brush with egg. Arrange 1/4 mince mixture on the long edge of each rectangle and roll up to enclose the filling. If the pastry is hard to handle, return to the freezer for 10 minutes to make cutting easier. Brush each roll with egg, sprinkle with fennel seeds and pepper and cut each roll into 4. Place on a large oven tray and bake at 200°C for 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve with Spicy Sauce.
