Brunch is BIG in Melbourne and when you find somewhere that does something other than Smashed Avocado on Toast, well, it’s worth singing about.
Lights In The Attic is a ultra-mod cafe on a triangular block in the middle of suburbia but what they do, they do well. The stand-out dish is their Birds Nest – a crumbed scotch egg with a perfectly gooey centre comes nestled in crispy potato with tomato-y home-style beans and a bit of crispy kale for the hipsters.
Coffee is good and you can take your doggie along to sit in the outdoor section too…woof!
