Vegans beware…this is no place for you! Palermo is first and fore-mostly a temple for meat lovers only and in true Argentinian-style, fire-roasted meat at that.
After a few empanadas and a pisco sour, smoky and succulent slow roasted pork, beef and lamb arrived after a four hour stint on the asado fire pit to be shared with grilled carrots and eggplant puree, papas (potatoes) and rucola. All matched with a glass of Argentinian Malbec, it didn’t take long to get very cozy in our curved leather booth.
The Argentinian Alfajores and Dulce de Leche Flan for a sweet treat at the end of the night put a smile on my face as I dreamily remembered being back in Buenos Aires…sigh!
