Sticky Glazed Pork

A sweet, sticky lip-smacking pulled pork recipe!

Serves: 6
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 3 hours
  • 1.2kg pork neck (pork scotch fillet)
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Season the pork with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a large heavy based ovenproof pot and brown pork on all sides. Cover and roast at 150°C for 2 1/12 hours. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes until sugar dissolves. Pour vinegar mixture over the pork and simmer on the stove, basting regularly for 15 minutes or until sauce is syrupy. Serve pork drizzled with sauce.
