Talia’s Gooey Chocolate Brownies
Deep, dark and gooey, these chocolate brownies will make your heart melt.

- 200g dark cooking chocolate, cut into chunks
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup dutch cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Melt half the chocolate in the microwave (on Medium for 1 2 minutes, stirring occasionally). Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together with an electric beater until fluffy. Beat in melted chocolate on slow speed, then sift flour, cocoa and salt on top and gently fold in. Do not overmix. Fold in remaining chocolate chunks. Spoon into a buttered and lined 16cm x 25cm slab tin and bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool in the tin and serve cut into squares.
