The smell of barbecuing meat is wafting all over the country at this time of year but if you want to make your barbie the best, then it’s the salads that can add colourful tastes and textures that will partner any type of chargrilled meat, be it beef, lamb, pork, chicken or even seafood.
Here are three of my favourites that really up the stakes in the salad area…a creamy potato salad with a burst of basil and bacon, a rainbow coloured slaw and a juicy tomato salad finished with torn buffalo mozzarella and glossy olives.
No one will care what sort of chop you are cooking on the barbie when the salad selection is this good!
