Eating out is a pure pleasure – a chance to relax and be immersed in the tastes that someone else has prepared with their own creativity, resources and effort. It is a constant source of inspiration and new discovery.  Here are some favourite experiences I have enjoyed and wish to share to both remember and salute the establishments that have given me those wonderful moments!

More like a Melbourne institution than a restaurant, the Carlton Wine Room has always been an urban haven for the wine connoisseur. Now, newly refurbished, it’s like a breath of fresh air has swept in. The ever-changing 100 wine long list, with offerings from wine regions around the world, requires some studying, but it’s also worth [...]

Elixir coffee roasting

Founded by brothers Jason and David Narciso, Elixir Coffee has grown to become one of Brisbane’s most loved specialist coffee roasters. For these boys, coffee runs in their blood and it shows in the quality, consistency and care they apply to their product and the hospitality that extends in the adjoining cafe and the service [...]

Melina On The Rooftop - Octopus

Perched high above Melbourne’s Little Athens – Lonsdale Street on the top of a skycraper is Melina On The Rooftop.
