BBQ Merlot Steak with Sun Dried Tomato Dressing
Chargrilled or BBQ steak comes to life with a tangy dressing.
Serves:
4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 350g merlot steak*
- sea salt, to taste
- SUN DRIED TOMATO DRESSING
- 1 spring onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped sun dried tomatoes in oil
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Method
- Season steak with salt and bbq or chargrill until medium rare. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Slice across the grain and serve drizzled with Sun Dried Tomato Dressing
- SUN DRIED TOMATO DRESSING Combine all ingredients together and spoon over cooked steak.
Tips
* Merlot Steak is a butcher’s cut from the top of the leg. It needs to be seared over high heat and served medium rare.
Scotch fillet, porterhouse or rump steak can also be used.
