BBQ Merlot Steak with Sun Dried Tomato Dressing

Chargrilled or BBQ steak comes to life with a tangy dressing.

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 350g merlot steak*
  • sea salt, to taste
  • SUN DRIED TOMATO DRESSING
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped sun dried tomatoes in oil
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Method

  • Season steak with salt and bbq or chargrill until medium rare. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Slice across the grain and serve drizzled with Sun Dried Tomato Dressing
  • SUN DRIED TOMATO DRESSING Combine all ingredients together and spoon over cooked steak.

Tips

* Merlot Steak is a butcher’s cut from the top of the leg. It needs to be seared over high heat and served medium rare. Scotch fillet, porterhouse or rump steak can also be used.
