Easter Chocolate Nests

These delightful little Easter treats will make anyone smile!

Makes:

6 muffin-size chocolate nests

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fried Asian noodles
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup puffed rice
  • 150g dark cooking chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 6 decorative paper muffin cases
  • sprinkles, for decoration
  • 18 speckled mini easter eggs, for decoration
  • cellophane and ribbon, for wrapping

Method

  • 1. Measure out all ingredients first then melt chocolate in the microwave on Medium, for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until just melted.
  • 2. Working quickly, mix in noodles, coconut and puffed rice until just combined and divide evenly between muffin cases. Use a teaspoon to press the mixture up the sides, leaving an indentation in the centre.
  • 3. Decorate with sprinkles and allow to set. Nestle 3 mini eggs in the centre. Wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon.

Tips

Decorate paper tags with coloured pens and stickers for gift giving and attach with string.
